Spinal glioblastomas are rare tumors located in the spinal cord. These tumors are usually seen in second and third decades compared to cerebral glioblastomas that are seen in middle-aged or elderly population. Spinal glioblastomas are often located in cervical and thoracic vertebral region but rarely in lomber vertebral region. Poorer prognosis is associated with tumor seeding in intracranial region via the cerebrospinal fluid. The major cause of death in spinal glioblastomas is based on uncontrolled local tumour. The treatment modality in spinal glioblastomas is surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In this article, a 21-year-old patient with spinal glioblastoma treated with surgery, concomitant chemoradiotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy is presented with related literature review.
