Lacunar head is defined as a thinned layer of skull bone because of increased intracranial pressure during embryogenesis. A beaten copper and honeycomb-like appearance on X-ray graphs is useful in the diagnosis. Lacunar head is generally seen together with congenital malformations like hydrocephalus, Arnold-Chiari and myelomeningocele. An attempt has been made to explain lacunar head with craniosynostosis. Lacunar head was seen incidentally in our case. No other malformations, anomalies or developmental defects were found. When his father’s old X-ray graphs were inspected a similar lacunar head appearance was seen. Lacunar head without any other anomalies, malformations or developmental defects is seen very rarely.
