Craniovertebral Junction Problems in Rheumatologic Diseases

Liv Hospital, İstanbul, Türkiye The craniovertebral junction is the most mobile region of the spine. The inflammatory diseases that affect this region may therefore cause serious problems. Many rheumatoid disorders and especially, rheumatoid arthritis may affect the craniovertebral junction. In this paper, we describe the rheumatoid disorders that affect the craniovertebral junction and the problems that may be encountered during their clinical course.
