Schwanomas within the neuraxis are rare. and are more common in an intramedullary than an intracerebral location. A review of the literature revealed thirteen cases of intracerebral schwannomas. one case of a brain stem schwannoma, and only two cases of schwannomas arising within the cerebellum.
