Ankara Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Beyin Cerrahi Kliniği, Ankara, Türkiye Moyamoya disease is a chronic cerebrovascular disease involving progressive bilateral stenosis of the intracranial segments of the internal carotid arteries represented with evident abnormal thin vascular webs. There are two age peaks of the disease as pediatric and adult groups. In pediatric cases, transient ischemic attacks and strokes are most common presenting symptoms. On the other hand, in adult groups, intracerebral haematoma is the most common presenting symptom. In this report, we presented a 49-year-old male patient in whom angiography was performed after he came to our emergency room with intracerebral hematoma. Moyamoya disease was diagnosed. The presentation includes preoperative and postoperative clinical findings, brain computed tomography, angiography findings and surgical technique.
