Intraoperative imaging methods are important aids for the purpose of effective clipping during aneurysm surgery. It is necessary to evaluate whether the clip can completely close the aneurysm neck, the residual aneurysm and whether the main arteries are narrowed due to clipping to avoid postoperative ischemic events and re-surgery. Pure microscopic evaluation will be insufficient and intraoperative imaging techniques are of vital importance. Although the gold standard method for evaluating the complete closure of aneurysms and evaluating the parent artery patency is intraoperative angiography, indocyanine green angiography is also being widely used in recent times. Microdoppler ultrasonography is also an adjunct method to assess vascular hemodynamics. In this paper, intaoperative imaging methods in aneurysm surgery have been discussed with a review of relevant literature.
