1Adıyaman Üniversitesi, Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı, Adıyaman, Türkiye Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) accounts for 5% of all cerebrovascular disorders. Despite improvements in the health care system in recent years, the morbidity and mortality of SAH and its economic burden on the health care system have not diminished. The loss in both the quality of life and economic status is significant for both the patient and the patient"s family members. A coordinated and multidisciplinary approach will facilitate the resolution of social and economic problems as well as individual and familial problems that SAH causes and will reduce its burden.
