The Place of Dynamic and Semidynamic Systems in Degenerative Lumbar Spine

Degenerative disc disease is one of the most important causes of back pain. Pathological movements in the deformed moving segment cause pain. For this reason, the destruction of the motion of the segment also eliminates the pain. Degenerative unstable primary treatment options are fusion, dynamic stabilization and lumbar arthroplasty. Posterior dynamic stabilization in surgical treatment of degenerative instability is the preferred surgical method and the mortality and morbidity rates are low. Dynesys is the most widely used dynamic system in the world today. When applying dynamic systems, dynamic or semi-dynamic stabilization systems that best mimic the appropriate movement of the spine should be preferred.
