A good and patient-specific approach to an aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage can lead to optimal management of the possible early and late complications and improve the patient"s prognosis, mortality and morbidity. Thanks to various preclinical/clinical studies, there is now science-based evidence on the pathophysiology of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and possible methods for its treatment, with the information being constantly updated, modified and errors revealed. Cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, one of the most important late complications, can cause the patient"s neurological situation to deteriorate postoperatively and significantly increases the risks of morbidity and mortality while the condition can be managed partially with up to date information. An appropriate and patient-specific approach makes it possible to decrease the severity of cerebral vasospasm and its late complications. In this article, various treatment strategies for cerebral vasospasm due to aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage are reviewed and their effect on possible pathophysiologic pathways and the results are evaluated.
