1İnönü Üniversitesi Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi, Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Malatya, Türkiye Neuronal and mixed neuronal-glial tumors are less frequent than glial tumors. They are characterized by variable grade neuronal and glial differentiation, are less aggres-sive than glial tumors and have a good prognosis.

Tumors in this group include ganlioglioma/gangliocytoma, dysembryoplastic neu-roectodermal tumor, desmoplastic infantile astrocytoma/ganglioglioma, dysplastic gangliocytoma of the cerebellum, papillary glioneural tumor, rosette-forming glio-neural tumors, diffuse leptomeningeal glioneural tumors; cerebellar liponeurocyto-mas; central and extraventricular neurocytomas; and paragangliomas. These tumors are low grade tumors except for anaplastic ganglioglioma. They can be treated with total surgical resection with good clinical results .

In this review, we aimed to review the characteristics of neuronal and mixed neu-ronal-glial tumors. Anahtar Kelimeler : Neuronal tumors, Mixed neuronal-glial tumors, Brain tumors
