Thoracic vertebral fractures are less frequent than fractures in other parts of the spine, but they represent higher morbidity rates. They usually occur following high-energy traumatic injuries. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are important diagnostic tools of thoracic fractures. Many systems have been developed and used for the classification of these fractures over the years, and TLICS and AO Spine TLICS classifications are deemed to be superior in recent years. According to these classifications, it is decided to apply conservative or surgical treatments to these patients. Anterior, posterior, or combined surgeries or cement applications such as vertebroplasty-kyphoplasty can be performed for surgical treatment. Successful treatment results are obtained with appropriate surgical interventions in the appropriate patients with these fractures.
