The results of histopathological changes at the ventricular system and brain parenchima of the rabbits which had obstructive hydrosefalus after caolin injection into cysterna magna are presented. Hydrocephalus occurea meanly 10.5 days after caolin injection. Epandymallayer of ventricular system were affected severely, and erosion and Battening were observed especially at lateral ventricles. In spite of former studies, severe changes because of hydrocephalus were not determined at the choroid plexus of lateral ventricles. Edema were observed at brain parenchima espedally at periventricular white matter.

There was caolin only in IVth ventricle, around the brain stem and at basal cysterns; subarachnoid spaces at the convexty were normal. At the level of foramen Luschka, severe scatris tissue filled the lateral recesses of IVth ventricle. Anahtar Kelimeler : Experimental hydrocephalus,Histopathological changes, Caolin
