Accurate surgical planning is possible by supporting neuroanatomy knowledge with radiological data. Diffusion tensor tractography maps may help understand the patologies of white matter pathways coused by the mass effect of a brain tumor. In addition, it is an auxiliary imaging tool used integrated with intraoperative neuronavigation systems and determines resection margins during surgery. Diffusion tensor tractography is an effective imaging technique that helps determine safe resection margins by identifying white matter pathways and helps increase the safety and effectiveness of surgery.
