Unusual Complication Following Iliac Crest Bone Harvesting: An Avulsion Fracture A Case Report

Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi, Düzce Tıp Fakültesi, Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Düzce A 48-year-old man who worked as a mechanic underwent C5-C6 and C6-C7 discectomy and C6 corpectomy for degenerative cervical spondylosis. Tricortical bone graft harvested from crista iliaca anterior superior was placed at the C6 corpectomy site and stabilized between C5 and C7 corpuses with a screw and plaque system. On the 2nd postoperative week, groin pain associated with marked tenderness while walking over the graft donor sites developed. Xrays showed avulsion fracture of the iliac crest.
