This report describes anaerob brain abscesses detected in two children, one with mastoiditis, and the other with cranial trauma plus meningitis. The first patient who was 13 years old had suffered from fever, headache, nausea and vomiting for a week. His magnetic resonance imaging showed a ring-shaped lesion in the left temporal lobe. The second patient who was five years old had suffered from fever, headache, nausea and vomiting for three days. Her computerized tomographic scan demonstrated a ring-shaped lesion in the right frontal area. Two patients were treated with abscess drainage plus antimicrobial therapy. Proteus vulgaris was isolated from the aerob and Bacleroides uniformis from the anaerob culture of the first case. Prevolella oris was isolated in the anaerobic culture of the second case. The aerobic culture of the second case revealed no growth. No neurological deficits and neuroradiological abnormality were detected at the 6th and 8th month controls of the patients.
