Ultrasonographic data of ten patients were grouped into locations, parenchymal appearances and the changes around the tumoral area. The primary origins of the metastatic lesions were lung (60%), breast (%20), gastrointestinal tract (% 10), and genitourinary tract (% 10). Solid (%10), cystic (20%), and necrotic (70%) tumours were easily detected by sonographic examination.

Ultrasonography adequately define tumour margins, parenchymal features, perilesional appearances, the deepening from the cerebellar surface, two dimensional extensions, and the efficany of tumour removal.

We concluded that the use of intraoperative ultrasonography is useful during the surgical resection of cerebellar metastatic tumours. Anahtar Kelimeler : Cerebellar metastases, intraoperative ultrasonography, posterior fossa surgery
