Intraventricular Cavernoma: Case Report

SSK Okmeydanı Eğitim Hastanesi, Nöroşirürji Kliniği, İstanbul Cavernomas are rarely seen vascular malformations of central nervous system. Intraventricular localizations of cavernomas are seen rarely. Cavernomas can cause clinical symptoms like headache, epileptic seizure, focal neurological signs, intracerebral hematoma and subarachnoid haemorrhage. The surgical management of cavernomas is possible and has a minimum rate of mortality and morbidity. In this report; the greatest case of intraventricular cavernoma after the advent of magnetic resonance imaging and computerized tomography is presented and evaluated with its clinical signs, localization and surgical management.
