Ufuk Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı, Ankara Intraventricular meningiomas are rare tumors. They grow slowly and become symptomatic in a late period so that they may have reached a significant size at diagnosis when they present to the surgeon. The preoperative evaluation, patient management and surgical approach are complicated in intraventricular meningiomas. The radiological presentation, histological subtype, intraventricular projection and main blood supply, functional areas and degree of neurological deficits are important from this point of view. These lesions are surrounded by very important cortical and white matter tracts. The aim of ventricular tumor surgery is to approach and remove these tumors with the least morbidity.
