Intracranial Meningiomas: Investigation of 85 Cases with Literature Search

AIM: In this study, it was evaluated that clinical, pathological characteries and localizations of cases with meningiom.

MATERIAL and METHODS: Eighty five meningiom case that were operated in our center at 1998-2005 years analized as retrospective.

RESULTS: 58 of cases (68.2%) were female and 27 of cases (31.8%) were male. The range of age was 22-81. The average age was detremined 52.84.the most common symptoms of cases were headache, motor deficits, and seizures during the application. The most common localizations were sfenoit wing, viewed as convexity and parasagittal region. At the histopathologic examination of the cases transitional, mixed, fibroblastic, and meningothelial type were found.

CONCLUSION: Localization of tumor is major factor that effects clinic of patient and surgical plan. Especially, bening cases, chance of perfect treatment is determined by amount of surgerical resection. Anahtar Kelimeler : Meningioma, Cranial, Tumor
