Anterior Communicating Artery Aneurysms

Anterior communicating artery (A com A) aneurysms are one of the most seen aneurysm among other locations. Intracranial aneurysms are frequently seen in women, instead A com A Aneurysms are mostly seen in men. Fifth decade is peak time for A com A bleeding. Spring and autumn is also has higher risk for bleeding as well as who have multiple aneuryms. Mophological analisysis of aneurysm may be helpful for prediction of rupture risk. Surface irregulation and multilobulation has higher risk for bleeding. Best treatment option for these patients varies due to age, medical condition, aneurysm location, anatomical structure of the aneurysm and experience of the neurosurgeon. Endovascular treatment may be an alternative for selected patients. Primary goal of the operation is occluding of the whole aneurysm without any residual.
