Gülhane Askeri Tıp Akademisi, Haydarpaşa Eğitim Hastanesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Kliniği, İstanbul, Türkiye Pralidoxime is an important antidote, used during organophosphate pesticide poisoning. Organophosphates are generally used as insecticides in many countries where agricultural activities exist. Furthermore, they are used as chemical warfare agents in the world. In this study, median nerve lesion at the level of the wrist injury and surgical intervention of a 21-year-old soldier who self-injected pralidoxime as antidote during organophosphate poisoning is presented. After 3 months injury, the patient admitted to our clinic and we evaluated electromyography (EMG) findings and neurological examinations. Finally, we performed an in-situ median nerve decompression. In context, extremely rare, Pralidoxime auto-injector nerve injury and surgical treatment are discussed parallel to current literature.
