Is There any Relationship Between the Risk of Bleeding and the Morphologic and Hemodynamics view of Arteriovenous Malformation?

Cerebral arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a most common cause of spontaneous hemorrhage especially in young patients with
high mortality and morbidity in each bleeding attack. It is important to determine the risk of bleeding and to assist the management
of patient and available treatment due to its frequency in neurosurgery. From past to present various diagnostic methods such as
transcranial doppler and 4-dimensional MRG have been used to understand AVM morphology and hemodynamics and to evaluate
its relationship with hemorrhage. Although comprehensive results have been identified between AVM morphology and bleeding,
the relationship between AVM hemodynamics and bleeding has still not been clearly established. The most important reason is
seen as the technical difficulties in the evaluation of hemodynamics and the use of different measurement techniques. In this paper,
whetheror not the presence of the relationship between morphologic, hemodynamic factors and hemorrhage risk in patients with
AVM will be discussed accompanied by literature review.
