MENINGITIS, DURAL SINUS THROMBOSIS AND SUBHYALOID HEMORRHAGE: CASE REPORT

A 5.5-months-old patient had been suffering from high fever and epilepsy. During the examinations, subdural effusion was determined in the magnetic resonance imaging and dural sinus thrombosis was found in the magnetic resonance venography.

In fundus examination, bilateral optic disk margins appeared indistinct and there were subhyaloid haemorrhages around the optic nerve head, extending to the whole retina.

Ophthalmic examination should also be performed in patients with meningitis after the acute treatment because of the ocular complications. Anahtar Kelimeler : Dural Sinus thrombosis, Menengitis, Subhyaloid hemorrhage
