Using a foley catheter and other inflatable balloon devices to control life-threatening posterior nasal hemorrhage are time-proven methods. However, the use of balloon systems may result in an intracranial positioning of the catheter. We present a 41-yearold male who presented at the emergency department following a road traffic accident. He underwent emergency stabilization of the nasal epistaxis by placement of a Foley catheter. Follow-up imaging demonstrated inflation of the Foley catheter balloon tip at the frontotemporal region. Anahtar Kelimeler : Severe epistaxis, Craniofacial trauma, Foley catheter
