1İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi, Beyin ve Sinir Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı, İstanbul, Türkiye Head trauma is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity among young adults, especially in developing countries. Vascular injuries due to neurotrauma include various clinical scenarios such as major vascular injuries or microvascular damage due to traumatic brain injury. These damages present as contusions, intra- or extra-axial hemorrhages, traumatic aneurysms, dissections, occlusions, or fistulas. The mechanism and severity of the trauma determine the level of the damage. These injuries can be present even in mild neurotrauma. The initial evaluation of the patient should be detailed and the possibility of later presentation of vascular injuries should be taken into account. Further assessment should be made when required. Surgical and endovascular treatment modalities can be chosen in various combinations. Anahtar Kelimeler : Head trauma, Vascular injury, Traumatic aneurysm, Fistula
