Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı, Ankara The results of the surgical treatment of peripheral facial palsy are satisfactory when it is performed at the right time and with right surgical technique.

In this study 38 nerve anastomosis performed in 37 patients are reviewed. Good results (Grade 11 or Grade III according to House and Brackmann) we obtained in 71.5% of the patients who had undergone hypoglosso-facial anastomosis and 72.7% patients who had undergone accosory-facial anastomosis.
