Intracranial chondromas represent less than 1 % of all intracranial primary neoplasms. There is no characteristic appearance of chondromas in radiological investigations. We report a patient who had a giant solitary right frontoparietal intracranial chondroma. There was a definite bone destruction in x-ray examina tion. His computerised tomography and magnetic resonance imaging findings showed an extraaxiallesion. The tumor was totally removed. The diagnostic value of radiological investigations, the surgical and histopathological findings of this rare lesion are discussed.
